Account control

Delete your Ghost Inventory account and associated cloud data.

You can request deletion inside the app or through this public web resource. Read the effects carefully before proceeding.

1. Delete inside Ghost Inventory

Open Ghost Inventory and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Review the confirmation message and complete the deletion flow while signed in.

Before deleting: Export anything you want to keep. Account deletion is intended to be permanent, and an encrypted cloud backup cannot be restored after the account and associated cloud data are deleted.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have access to the app, email Ghost Inventory Support from the email address associated with your Ghost Account. Use the button below to prepare the request.

Request Account Deletion

Support may need to verify that you control the account before deletion. Do not send your password, recovery passphrase, private key, or encryption key.

3. What the Ghost deletion process removes

  • The Ghost authentication account associated with the verified request.
  • The encrypted Ghost Cloud snapshot and stored cloud attachments associated with that account.
  • Account-linked profile, entitlement, and service records targeted by the deletion process.
  • Where deletion is completed inside the app, the app is designed to remove that account’s private vault and Ghost-owned evidence files from the current device after server-side deletion succeeds.

Limited billing, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or legal records may be retained where required or reasonably necessary.

4. Data saved on your device

In-app deletion: after Ghost confirms server-side account deletion, the Android app is designed to remove the deleted account’s private vault and Ghost-owned evidence files from the current device.

Web/email deletion request: Ghost cannot remotely erase data stored on a phone or other device you control. If Ghost Inventory remains installed on a device after a web deletion request, clear the app’s local data or uninstall the app if you want any remaining local copy removed.

Important: Deleting the Ghost Account and cloud data is different from simply downgrading or cancelling a subscription. Export records you need before requesting permanent deletion.

5. Google Play subscription and purchases

Deleting a Ghost Account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel separately through Google Play: profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Ghost Inventory → Cancel subscription.

AI top-up credits are associated with the Ghost Account. Unused top-up credits are not transferable to a new account after the original Ghost Account is deleted.
