1. Acceptance

By creating an account, accepting these terms in the app, or using Ghost Inventory, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Optional consent to receive product news or preparedness tips is separate from the acceptance required to use Ghost Inventory and can be changed later.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, controlling access to your devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

Do not share passwords, recovery passphrases, encryption keys or private-vault files with anyone who is not authorized to access them. Ghost Support will not ask you to send a plaintext recovery passphrase.

3. Free and paid plans; Google Play billing

Plan limits may differ for properties, rooms, items, AI scans, reports and Ghost Cloud. The Free plan includes one watermarked report allowance each month, shared between the Summary Report and Full Evidence Report formats. Current limits appear in the app and may be updated for future billing periods.

Paid subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play. Google Play shows the final localized price, billing period, applicable taxes and purchase terms before payment. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until cancelled through Google Play. Cancelling normally stops future renewal while paid access continues through the current billing period shown by Google Play. Deleting the app or Ghost account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You retain responsibility for the records and files you add. You must have the right to photograph, upload, store, export and share that content. Do not use Ghost Inventory to store unlawful content, violate another person’s rights, bypass security, abuse AI services or interfere with the service.

You are responsible for reviewing item details, values, attachments and reports; keeping original documents where appropriate; and updating records when ownership, condition or value changes.

5. Demo Mode

Demo Mode is a read-only sample experience that is kept separate from a real Ghost Account and private vault. Demo actions use sample content and do not create permanent inventory records, consume real AI credits or the Free monthly report allowance, make real purchases, or perform real Ghost Cloud backup and restore.

Demo previews are educational examples only. They are not evidence of ownership, appraisals, insurance advice or user records.

6. AI Scan and AI-assisted Walkthrough

AI Scan and Walkthrough analysis are optional. AI Scan processes an image the signed-in user deliberately submits. AI-assisted Walkthrough can extract and analyze selected still frames from a user-selected room video and may use up to the scan credits stated in the app.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Suggested names, categories, brands, models, serial information, conditions, confidence and replacement-value guidance must be reviewed before saving. AI guidance is not a professional appraisal, insurance valuation, coverage decision or promise of reimbursement.

7. Summary and Full Evidence Reports

Summary Reports and Full Evidence Reports organize user-selected inventory records and supporting files for preparedness and communication with insurers or other authorized recipients. A Full Evidence Report may include readable pages for selected photos, receipts, warranties, appraisals, certificates, ownership records, repair estimates and serial or VIN proof.

A Ghost report does not create insurance coverage, prove ownership by itself, determine claim eligibility, provide a legal certification or appraisal, or require an insurer or other recipient to accept a record or stated value. Users should follow their own policy and insurer requirements.

8. Encrypted Ghost Cloud

Eligible paid plans may back up sensitive vault content and attachments to Ghost Cloud. The launch build is designed to encrypt sensitive private-vault data on the user’s device before upload. Ghost may retain limited readable operational metadata needed to authenticate accounts, verify plans, apply usage limits, operate synchronization and support account security.

No storage or network service is guaranteed to be uninterrupted or immune from every device, software, provider or security failure. Keep separate copies of irreplaceable documents when appropriate.

9. Recovery Passphrase and Encrypted Vault Access

The recovery passphrase protects access to the encrypted private-vault backup. Ghost Technologies does not store the plaintext recovery passphrase and cannot retrieve or display it for the user.

A user may replace a lost or compromised recovery passphrase only from an already unlocked vault or trusted unlocked device after biometric, device-credential or account-password re-authentication. Creating a replacement re-wraps the same vault key and invalidates the previous recovery passphrase.

The user is responsible for securely saving the new recovery passphrase before leaving the replacement flow. If the current passphrase is lost and no usable unlocked vault or trusted unlocked device remains, encrypted cloud content may be permanently inaccessible. Ghost cannot bypass the encryption or reset access from the account password alone.

10. Account and data deletion

Users can request account deletion inside Ghost Inventory or through the public Delete Account page. The deletion process targets the Ghost authentication account, encrypted cloud snapshot, stored cloud attachments and account entitlement records, subject to limited records that may be retained for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute or security purposes.

Local inventory on a device may remain until the user deletes it, clears app storage or uninstalls the app. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

11. Service changes and availability

Ghost Inventory is launching first on Android. Public availability begins only when the app is released through Google Play. An iOS version is planned, but no release date is promised.

Ghost Technologies may update features, limits, security requirements, supported providers or platforms. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to address abuse, fraud, security threats, legal requirements or material violations of these terms.

12. Disclaimers and limitation

Ghost Inventory is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Ghost Technologies does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect AI accuracy, recovery of every file, acceptance of reports, insurance coverage, claim approval or any particular financial outcome.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ghost Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising from use of the service, inaccurate records, lost recovery information, device loss, insurer decisions or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
